I was a superstar

More- was my law

Greed- my vice

It felt

Nice

So why

Am I now

Burning in hell

Doing menial work

In this demon spawn cell

 

You’re the prodigal son

You covet their wife

You squander life

A waste is

What you

Be

So Pick

Up that ax

And pound those rocks

Eternal hard work

Aw! Yes! Greed is a horrible little green eyed beast.
We can't see beyond it at times
Sometimes we try to worship it when we shouldn't
We fall away from who we are when we do.
