Pandora

Pandora

A Poem by Robert Francis Callaci
"

cosmic soup

"

Infinite regress

A causal distress

No spiritual link

Time all out of sync

No need for a God

In this Nietzschean stink

No thunder a raging

No hell all a blazing

Just infinite modality

In all its totality

What was begun

was undone

What began

so did begin

What was an end

began again

In the beginning

did the end begin

Amen! Amen! Amen!

If there’s no beginning

then how can there be an end?

What type of joke

is this cosmic spin ?

Is it spun from the essence

of some Godly sin?

Or is it just all smoke

and random flux

Endless possibilities

of futility; via re-dux

Can this be our reality?

Where is the clarity?

We need a God with Aseity

An all knowing and powerful Deity

To give us comfort, meaning and spontaneity

Not some meaningless opaque continuity

For Man’ is not ready for existential ambiguity

In the beginning was the Word

And the Word was…?

I was having a little fun with this- These questions have been a raging since man could speak.. We all need something to hold on to-or do we?

Well...some of us do! (need something to hold on to.)

This is funny and thought provoking as usual Bob...I didn't need your signature to know it was yours.
Your at your best when you poke fun at the universe!

Me.

It's where it all began. :)

Seriously though, I liked what you have done here. I do think the first stanza is the most powerful though and could probably stand on its own strongly without the rest. Well done though and the questions continue. Bravo.

I like this soup-- I've read it before and I'll read it again-- good work my friend--and I'm not saying it to say it :) Cheers Frank

Great questions! Great work as usual. I used that scripture once:

In the beginnin was the Word
And the Word was Why
And the What was with Why
And the What was Why...lol

The whole thing is great!

Your third stanza is absolutely striking!
