as time grinds on…

 

mountains turn to boulders

boulders to rocks

rocks to stones

stones to pebbles

pebbles to grains of sand

who gather together to blanket

the beaches and ocean floors

 

as they wait to turn to stardust…

 

they dream of a time

when they were once

mountainous vistas

that touched the clouds

and sang with the angels…
