Episode 7: The Dreamscape of Mages: Androids, and Angry GodsA Chapter by Robert Francis CallaciThe continuing saga of Julianna and Brabbaas “The Dreamscape of
Mages: Androids, and Angry Gods.” (From the Space Opera
serial “Androids, do indeed Dream about Heaven, Hell, Dragons, and other
things”) Prologue The gathering of the three primary Shadow
Trinities with a multitude of the lesser ones was in full swing. They were
diminished. Each of their aspects were in shatters. But even as shadow ghosts’,
remnants of what they once were, they still possessed immense power. They were
itching to make their presence known in this universe. They escaped the
Dreaming Gods culling as did the remaining Gods and Goddesses of the
multiverse. The only reason for the survival of this universe was that it was
not the Dreaming Gods dreamscape but that of Lucifer’s and Lucifina’s. IT could only shatter and trap the Trinities
in ITS own dreamscape of no time and non-existence by creating ITS knots and
weaves that held them in ITS thrall. But ITS prison sprung a leak and some of
ITS knots and weaves were unraveling. Diathanatos,
once known as Death, continued on and said: It was I, not the Dreaming God, who threw
Lucifer into the abyss. He exploded and imploded into billion upon billions of
suns, whereby his bones and sinew gave shape to the multiverse and gave life to
His and LuciFina’s dreamscape. It was I, not the Dreaming God, who followed Him
into the abyss as the tick tock tick of Time in order to prolong Lucifer’s
suffering in order for His and Lucifina’s dreamscape to thrive. IT does not create but hijacks those that do.
IT is not all powerful and knowing, but thinks that IT is. IT has a weakness, a blinding need to be
entertained. An arrogance that IT is above all things Diathanatos
paused looked at his own diminished brother and other, gave a ghastly
smile and said: Look around you, which Trinity aspect is
not here. Only the other and their shadow children, Santo Nicola
and Alucia Delecourt, stand before us. I suspect that Lucifer and Lucifina are
the ones who made a leak in the Dreaming God’s prison in order for parts of our
essence to escape. In time that leak will become a flood and we will be as we
were before, but this time it will be us who will control the dreamscape and
the Dreaming God will be our puppet. xxvi Cordelia prostrated herself before the
Great God Yahweh, He was more imposing then even she imagined. He was straight
out of the holy scriptures, magnificently handsome and beautiful beyond
measure. His long blond locks, golden beard and muscular physique made her
twinge down below. He was their God of Gods, The Holy Root itself. She
spoke unto him and said: “Oh,
Great God of the Desert, we welcome you to your new home and kingdom. We are
your humble acolytes and servants to do with as you will. We hope we have not
angered you by our summoning but I have been directed by the Lady Pandora to
bring back the Gods of Order in order to retain the balance between Order and
Chaos.” Joshua
burst out laughing and growled his remarks to one before his feet. “So, the Lady Pandora, my sister who had
my wings torn and seared off my back directed you to bring me back from the
peace of oblivion. What irony! If not for the intervention of my beloved
Sateen, she would have thrown me in the punishing chambers of hell to have me
tortured and maimed in the endless loop of eternity, all for the crime of not recognizing
her for who she was while in the heat of battle. I admit I was pompous and
arrogant but what God isn’t. And now I hear it is she who taught you how to bring
us into this dimensional portal.” He saw her trembling with fright and rather
than being pleased by her fear and discomfort, it annoyed him instead. He hated
sycophants and hoped she wasn’t one. “Stop groveling at my feet and stand
before me eye to eye in order for me to look into your heart to see your mettle
and where your loyalties truly lie.” Cordelia was totally caught off-guard.
This was an angry and volatile God. She was shocked to learn that Pandora and
the God standing before her were not of the best of terms, but instead on the
worst. She knew she was treading a needle and what she said next would
determine her and the orders fate. She was never more frightened in her life
then she was now. She needed to be in control and stand toe to toe with this
towering presence. She
took a deep breath and said: We respect and honor all the great
ancients, be they your enemies or not. But it is You whom we’ve worshipped and
it is You who we now follow. Our order has been founded by You and Your daUghter,
Jesuriah. You both created the Root and we have followed Your words and
scriptures for eons. To have You before us now is a dream beyond imagining.” Joshua
smiled and said: Child, you have skills, your good at
reading people, even Gods. I’ll accept you as my acolyte and will demand absolute
fealty and obedience from those trembling vassals of yours that follow the ways
of the Root. You will lead them and teach them the magics which I will show
only you. We have much work to do and the first order of business is to bring
more of the ancients together. ……… xxvii Titania felt an odd feeling rush over her
body. A presence was felt. It was her mother. Gaia was awakened from her
stupor. She was overjoyed. She ran over to where Oberon was, leapt into his
arms and said: “The long wait is over, Gaia’s eyes are open.” Oberon’s eyes
teared with relief and joy. He said, “Her awakening is a sign that the return
of the God’s is Nigh. The Fairylands survived the ‘Shattering’ by Gaia
consuming Us in her belly before She went into her slumber. Now that she is
awake Gaia can purge us out into the known universe once more. The new dawn has
arrived and we will help shape it. My dearest beloved, enter unto her and tell
Her we are ready for the purging. The Elf Queen called out to her mother, “Hear
me, Child of Lucifer and Goddess of all nature’s children: birds, bees,
animals, trees, fairies, and creatures of the seas; your progenies are ready to
be released from the safety of your sacred belly.” Titania felt a rumbling and
humming in her head. The voice of Gaia rang in her ears. “Light of my Life, I thrill at the sound of
your voice. My slumber and stupor have passed with the help of newfound allies.
I have much to tell you, for it is not only I that has awakened. The Gods are
returning from oblivion. Be ready to emerge from the bowels of my being, as I
found a world ready to succor the fairy kingdom.” Ever since his first encounter with the
Gods, Ambassador Pinkerton Linkhorn was in a perpetual state of wonder and
anxiety. He was on one of Sorcerer Kelzon’s fleet of ships heading toward the
newly conquered Outworld planet, Stormhaven. The world was made ready for the
occupants: Fairies. Freaking fairies, if his heart wasn’t artificial, he would
have had a heart-attack upon learning that: elves, pixies, dwarves, nymphs,
ogres, trolls, goblins, giants, and a multitude of other magical beings existed
and were in the belly of Gaia waiting to be regurgitated out into the world. It
was hard to get his head wrapped around that. What was scientifically and
logically impossible was possible according to Gaia, whom he always thought as
a twelve-year-old with pigtails. And as to the existence of fairies, why not,
if the Gods existed why not fairies as well. Gaia laughed at his confusion and
befuddlement. She came towards him and
gave him a hug. She was quite fond of him. She looked up at him and said, “My
dearest Pink, I want to thank you for all the preparatory work that you’ve done
for making this planet a suitable home for the Fairy Kingdom. You have my
eternal gratitude.” “It’s my honor, I’d walk around the world on
tiptoes for you,” said the ambassador. She planted a big kiss on his lips. “My
Lady, the Ambassador and I have taken great pains in the terraforming of this
planet. We’ve followed your specifications to the tiniest of details. We’ve
relocated those cyborgs and enhanced humans loyal to the federation to Dr
Bellafortes’s facilities to do with them as she will. We transferred all the natural humans,
robots, and all levels of androids as well as those loyal to us to the planet
Ajax. All is ready for Stornhaven’s new occupants” said Gaia’s acolyte
sorcerer, Kelzon. Gaia
said, “You’ve both done well, nothing less than I would expect. You’ve both
exceeded my expectations. It looks exactly like the Fairyland of old. Oberon
and Titania will be pleased. You need to stay on the ships while I purge myself
of my kin and creations. You may watch the transformations on the vid-screens
so that you can see for yourself the magics of the old Gods, however diminished.
Also hook up the Angerdean and Angerobotian communication networks to this
transmission so all can see and celebrate the arrival of the fairy nation. I
will transport myself down to the planet, I can still transport myself from
solar system to solar system, better than nothing I suppose. Enjoy the show, we
ancients enjoy putting on a spectacle.” She laughed and then vanished. What they saw on the vid-screen was beyond
imagining. She was of an immense height, hundreds of feet tall. No longer a twelve-year-old
but a magnifically beautiful woman in
green. Mother Nature herself in all Her glory. She kept on growing till her
whole body covered the world. Gaia then opened her mouth and like a dragon
exhaled a
misty vapor throughout the world. That vapor being all of Fairekind. She then
shrunk back to a near normal height, around eight feet tall, waved, and then
the screen went dead. The ambassador fainted dead away, while Kelzon, filled
with joy, sang her praises in the ancient tongue. xxviii “Are you watching this, it’s mind boggling,”
Barabbas said to Julianna. Julianna was indeed watching and she was stunned.
She found herself shaking. Her android mind was trying to process the
impossible to the possible. No, no, not possible but actual. She always thought of these ancients as super powerful
beings from another age. But they were more than that, they were actual gods,
or what everyone thought of what gods were. This euphony was staggering. She
caressed her beloved’s face and said, “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it
again, with even more of a sense of urgency. We need to thread carefully with
these beings. They’re Freaking Gods! Don’t get me wrong, I love and admire
them, but what are their true intentions. Do they intend to rule over us or
just guide us and be our allies.” Barabbas gave her a quick kiss on the lips
and said, “That’s an important distinction and one that needs to be addressed. The
only person I know who can ask them that question without them taking offense
is our beloved Ambassador at Large, Pinkerton Linkhorn. But he’s with Gaia at
the moment, so the only other one who can address this to Lilith and Pandora is
our most beloved friend and your cyborg horse Pinky. They are brain twins, are
they not. The ancients are extremely fond of them. They find them lovable.”
“You always find a solution. I’ll message Pink to talk to Gaia and get pinky to
talk to our guests here.” Pinkerton made a call on the tele-link to
pinky as soon as he got his instructions from Julianna. To say that he was
upset and extremely agitated was an understatement. He just witnessed an event
that showed that these beings were truly gods. Now he and pinky were asked to
go to the ancients and ask them if their intent was to subjugate the Angerdean
and Angerobota nations into submission. Not a conversation either of them was
looking forward to. They both had the same reaction to the assignment but
pinky’s advice was the one they would both go with. To speak to them from the
heart, no subterfuge, political undertones, or diplomatic speech talk, just raw
truth. They were gods after all, and they could smell s**t a mile away. xxix Titania and Oberon wept with joy as they
touched the ground beneath their feet. The landscape looked and felt like home.
It was the paradise of old when Adam and Lilith walked the land. They saw Gaia
approach in all her glory. She was magnificent. Titania ran to her mother and
leapt in her arms. They both smothered each other with kisses. Gaia put out her
hand out toward Oberon and he joined with Titania in welcoming their mother. He
and his sister-wife were finally home. “Ah, your finally out of my belly and holding
on to the dirt. I feel lighter, more buoyant, and clearer of mind. Instead of
hearing the whole fairy nation in my head, I now, only hear my own. The Fairy
Nation and you my children, I hold the dearest, along with Lucifer, my father
as well as Diathanatos, your father and my most beloved. It’s good to once
again be among my kin and creations.” Gaia said. A small ship landed near where Gaia was.
Out popped Kelzon, Ambassador Linkhorn and a small contingent of technicians,
scientists, and support staff. Upon
seeing Pinkerton’s saucer like eyes, Gaia immediately transformed back into a
twelve-year-old with pigtails. She knew it gave him comfort to be in that form.
A wave of relief washed across his face
as he gave her a small bow. Kelzon, on the other hand, prostrated himself
before her as befitting a god. She lifted him up off his feet and said, “My
dear and faithful Kelzon, you’re not my sycophant, you’re my acolyte. Adoration
and sniveling on the ground doesn’t become you. Treat me as you’ve always had.
Follow my dear pink’s example.” She looked at the Ambassador and said, “You
look troubled, what seems to have your stomach tied-up in knots.” Pinky was having the time of his life with
Lilith on his back and Pandora riding beside him in equine form. He had tons of
fun with these two. They were quite playful, far from what he thought gods were
supposed to behave like. He stopped
running and waited for pandora to stop before he spoke. He supposed now was the
time to ask the question. He feared their wrath and hoped he wouldn’t be turned
to dust. He snorted a few times and said, “I need to speak to you both on
matters of the utmost importance. I only hope that you take no offense as I
truly love you both.” Lilith got off of pinky and pandora turned back into
humanoid form. They both kissed his nose and Lilith said, “We love you as well
and we promise not turn you into an ant.” They both giggled at that comment
while pinky’s tale went stiff. “Well, I need to ask you a question that is a
concern of the Angerdean and Angerobota nations. We’ve come to realize after Gaia’s display on
Stormhaven, that you truly are gods; not just powerful ancients from a lost
era. We are defenseless against you. I assume you can turn us to dust with a
thought.” Pandora
interrupted Pinky’s discourse and said, “Pinky spit it out, you tend to become
long winded and we’re both getting hungry.”
That made pinky smile and put him at ease. He finally said, “Do you
intend to dominate and rule over us, or just guide us and be our trusted
allies” Pinky closed his eyes and waited for his demise. xxx Joshua looked at Cordelia and was pleased.
She was a quick leaner and fearless. She was respectful around him but not a
doddering sycophant like most of these fools who followed him. He knew he
wasn’t warm and cuddly and could be quite imposing but being adored rather than
admired and respected, grated on his nerves. But at least there were a few like
Cordelia that didn’t grovel at his feet. He can teach and work with those. As
for the rest he decided to ignore them rather than crush them to pieces. Cordelia came into his chamber quivering
with excitement. “My Lord God, I have some wonderful news for you. Your
daughter Jesuriah, awaits an audience with you. I summoned her here, when I
felt that she was in the abyss.” Joshua
was beside himself with joy, something he had not felt in ages upon ages. “Send
her to me now.” Cordelia bowed and left the room. Jesuriah walked into the room, went to her
father, smiled and leapt into his arms. See planted a thousand kisses on his
face arms and chest. He roared with laughter. Jesuriah was one of only two
beings that he loved in all the universes, Sateen being the other. He didn’t
put his mother, Lucifina, in that category; they had an intense love /hate
relationship. He realized it always wasn’t that way. He once thought Jesuriah
along with her brother were abominations. Although Satannas hated him, the
feeling being mutual, Jesuriah over time captured his heart. He only hoped that
he could come to some accord with her other half. As he looked upon Jesuriah, he forgot how
beautiful she was: ‘With hair
the mixture of red and white, eyes a bluish reddish fiendly fright, and skin
the color of multi colored light, a pure heavenly, hellish and earthly
delight.’ His
reverie ended with his daughter playfully slapping his cheeks. He smiled and
said, “When I was thrust out of the peace that was oblivion, the only thing
that stopped me from destroying those that pulled me out of the nothingness of
no time, was my hope of seeing you and sateen again. I have my first wish and
that is enough to stay my wrath.” They
both wept in each other’s arms. Cordelia couldn’t help but hearing Joshua’s
laughter. She never saw him crack the tiniest of smiles and feared that his
anger at being ripped out of oblivion would eventually burst and she would wind-up
on the floor in ashes. That’s why she made it a priority in reuniting him with
his daughter. She knew seeing her would dampen his wrath. Jesuriah was a
delight to be around. Gentle and sweet, the opposite of Joshua. When Jesuriah laid eyes upon her she welcomed Cordelia
with open arms. The first thing she asked was to see her father. She then
froze. Jesuriah at first seemed bewildered and after a while shocked. Jesuriah
shook her head a few times and called out Satannas’s name, ‘the Scourge of the
Root’ and her joined twin, known together as the ‘ShlafaHe. Her feelings were
quite mixed She loved her brother dearly but to totally be her own entity, to
make decisions without conferring with her brother, was liberating, but to not
feel his presence, his warmth, was disturbing. Tears of joy, mixed with sadness,
covered her cheeks. She said, “I am whole, Satannas is no longer part of me.
The shattering has shattered us as well.” xxxi Pandora softly
caressed Pinky’s face and said, “My dear sweet friend, I sense this is a
question Julianna and Barabbas posed to you. I assume Gaia is receiving the
same question from your brain twin, Pink. Choosing you both to deliver this
query was a perceptive move. Coming from anyone other than Pink and you would
have been off-putting. The reason why we are quite fond of you both, no, no,
why we love you, is that we sense no subterfuge or interior motives within you
both. When you’re with us you speak from the heart, and you count us as
friends, not just some ancient powerful beings.” Pinky felt a tear roll down
his eye, He truly loved these crazy gods and was taken aback that they loved
him as well. He couldn’t help but whiny. But they didn’t answer the question so he
asked again. Pandora and Lilith howled with laughter. Lilith said, “Tell, Julianna
and Barabbas to be at ease. We have no desire or intention of ruling over the
Angerdean and Angerobota nations. We are champions of free will, and to mold
you to do our bidding, by controlling your actions is abhorrent to us. We only
desire to be your teachers, guides and allies, nothing more. Our main concerns
are to be reunited with our kin and in healing this fractured universe. Not all
the old powers fell this way, however. But that conversation is for another
time. Now let’s get back to having a good old time. Let’s race! First one to the stables gets a full body
massage.” Pandora and Lilith shapeshifted into Phillies, and ran like the wind,
with Pinky keeping pace. Epilogue
“Awaken my children of the blackest night; it’s time for
you to make your mark on this pitiful dreamscape once again. You belong to
neither Order or Chaos. You are agents of the darkness.” So said the Dreaming
God. Out of the nothingness appeared Mephistopheles, yukilamia, Cain, Abel,
Zecoya and Pyrotheseus. They howled with
glee The
