I'm a c**k-eyed fool

Musings of a C**k-Eyed Monk

I’d rather fritter my life away

then live next to a crocodile who can’t tell time---

no prickled-minded person would ever do such a thing.

The only pet worth having is a cockroach---

they bite the hands that feed them and s**t all

over the place; just like a species we all know

and love.

Pursuing knowledge and enlightenment is a fool’s errand---

only the bigoted, ignorant, and ill-informed can attain

drug-induced bliss and fleeting happiness-this is the impending age

of darkness--- where light barely shines through the cracks.

Only when the mud dries, is when we truly see the world

for what it is---a jungle for the bugs to feast upon.
