Broken Headlights

On a ship of fools

rows of disfranchised dissidents

sing in disharmonious discord to the

braying of castrated donkeys and

screaming monkeys

A cacophony of riotous confusion

and dire disillusion permeates the air

as the forlorn and hopeless are swallowed whole

by bloated baboons and drunken apes

Hands bloodied and scared

the damned, dead,

and forgotten, furiously row to the

edge of the world

to end their unending misery.

At the outermost edge lies Oblivion

But those monkeys, donkeys, baboons and apes have a

different destination in mind for those who sail on

the seas of perdition.
