Crossing the Divide

Crossing the Divide

A Poem by Robert Francis Callaci
"

is god really dead?

"

Crossing the Divide (ravings from a lunatic who loves the moon)

A deviant is a deviation of what society deems normal.

leaves are green, others brown-

but what about those that turn red or yellow?

the dirt road turns to mud on rainy days

while the flowers wilt and decay from drought-

dreams are but an illusion of reality

but does the butterfly know the difference?

as I cross the divide I can’t help but wonder

why doesn’t God wake up from His, Hers, or ITs slumber---

The Silence is deafening.

A thought-provoking poem! I like to think of myself as being different to most other people in some ways - not better, just different. So perhaps I am a deviant, or have deviant tendencies? It is good to be different sometimes, even if society generally prefers other people to be like them!
