Into the Valley of Lost Souls and Mad Kings

Into the Valley of Lost Souls and Mad Kings

"

bent and broken but not defeated

"

Into the Valley of Lost Souls

and Mad Kings

Insidious whispers

concerning condemnations

against the unwashed abounded-

that smirk on your lips

spoke volumes---

You became blind

when I needed you to see-

and deaf to the protestations

of the myriad injustices done

to the unheard and forgotten---

When my back was turned

you pushed me into the abyss-

watching with maniacal glee as

I fell to my doom---

Was it not you who always

promised that we’d stand together

hand in hand?

When did treachery and deceit

become your forte?

I hear the choral dirge

ringing in my ears

as you weep false tears---

Huddled amongst your

sycophants you sink

deeper into the mud;

where you revel in

debauchery and hypocrisy---

I’ve been caste out

and thrown aside

like some unused toy-

a discarded puppet

made to crawl on

broken bones and

and rotted flesh---

Although my pain

is excruciating

and my condition dire,

I still have reason for

jubilation-

for no longer

will I have to

endure the stink from your a*s

and the reeking foulness of your breath

that always left a

vile and putrid taste

in my mouth---

As I close my eyes

I am comforted by

your absence---
