Into the Valley of Lost Souls and Mad KingsA Poem by Robert Francis Callacibent and broken but not defeatedInto the Valley of Lost
Souls and Mad Kings
Insidious whispers concerning condemnations against the unwashed
abounded- that smirk on your lips spoke volumes---
You became blind when I needed you to see- and deaf to the
protestations of the myriad injustices
done to the unheard and
forgotten---
When my back was turned you pushed me into the
abyss- watching with maniacal
glee as I fell to my doom---
Was it not you who always promised that we’d stand
together hand in hand? When did treachery and
deceit become your forte?
I hear the choral dirge ringing in my ears as you weep false tears---
Huddled amongst your sycophants you sink deeper into the mud; where you revel in debauchery
and hypocrisy---
I’ve been caste out and thrown aside like some unused toy- a discarded puppet made to crawl on broken bones and and rotted flesh---
Although my pain is excruciating and my condition dire, I still have reason for jubilation- for no longer will I have to endure the stink from your
a*s and the reeking foulness
of your breath that always left a vile and putrid taste in my mouth---
As I close my eyes I am comforted by your absence---
