going darkA Poem by Robert Francis Callacia haiku variation- the Japanese form does not use titles-this is a senryu but I use haiku as an umbrella term encompassing haiku, senryu and tankagoing dark
cotton-candy high--- sitting alone in a room contemplating death
the edge of a blade cuts the skin with gentle
care--- clowns and acrobats
walking the tight rope with sore feet and a
headache- barkers and strong-men
dispossessed of home adrift in a joyless world--- jaws of a lion
a wonder-less world of torn tents and empty
trains--- virtual clown cars the big top folds and
unwinds no one asked the
elephants---
