Desolation

Desolation

A Poem by W.D Peterson

Intensions rise from across the room

gazing eyes from one to the other

the rising of brow to suggestion

opening up infatuations stare to betrayal

sweat from tip to brow

slowly creeping its intent for touch

perspiration flowing with every bead

tantalizing him with its curvaceous gleam

the red of the dress that caresses and allures

now reminiscent of home

the love that is held in the hearts of kin

the other half of him begging to be seen

his discontent ever present in actions

the longing for another now sits in reality

but for what price does amorality come

the presence now draws near

taking its grasp on his flesh

with whisper now comes invintation

thoughts erupting in mind

again family now draw near to heart

and with the lick of tongue to kneck

groping its firm endowment

is now lost in thought and conscience

he takes ahold of betrayals waist

and follows its lead

the heart is now dismayed

for with the stroke of an hour

now does his misery lie
