Flight

Flight

A Poem by W.D Peterson

With the spread of wings

In the open sky

The soaring with mass into a spiral

To look ahead to what lies beneath

A fludder of heart from wind in breath

To demise the circumstances is my plea

The peace of air that the wind does bring

Stability of mind that sustains the soul

The pleasant loneliness the wind does wonder

With absence of fear bringing forth tranqual stone

Sound does not live in flight

The farce of the work that is my life

But now the still quietness that calms

Open wider of wings to soar

The clouds vanishing faster as the end appears

This is the last step

The time is upon us

The day is now when all men must come to ease

Radio to the tower and tell of my descent

The time is now and my clearance has been approved

The man with lights flashing is standing firm

To await the arrival fo teh spreaded eagle

Wait!!! Eyes now open to assurance

To fast, To fast, not readiness to hold to stone

Slow down, Slow down, the mind does avert in life

Stop, St...The late awareness is now in vain

To Jump

To Fly

To End
