Coffee Shop

Coffee Shop

A Poem by REL

The door open

A bell rings

A friendly smile

An order taken

Money is paid

A name is written

Drink is hollered

To begin a make’n

A machine hisses

Milk foams

Quickly stirred

Put on the bar

Add a lid

Protective sleeve

A wave good bye

Tip in the jar

Short, sweet, and unique. well done.

This is a nice write - definately different from some of the poems to be found on this site.
I like your choice of a shorter line length - the poem moves with the same pace as a coffee shop (I do hope that makes sense) - the reader is definately there with you - experiencing all you are.
I find myself inspired by my local coffee shop!
Congrats on this write.

Don't they smell great, too? And all the little cookie things for dipping--what do you call those? A short, sweet, and descriptive scene you've painted. Nice job, Arielle. Sam
