DeathstalkerA Story by ImaginaryMightThe only way to survive the Deathstalker is to suffer a fate worst than Death.Deathstalker It was more than a feeling of chill down your spine. It was an eerie, inexplicable sense of doom. A mortal fear that shook a man to the bones. The townspeople of the village of Mirth all gathered in the village center. “Do you feel it?”asked Yarwan The stable owner Branger gave a quick worrisome nod, “The only man to ever survive the deathstalker, talked of having a premonition. He talked about how all the other villagers felt the same in the neighboring village of Alcoa before the attack. Perhaps this being, whatever it may be, somehow warns his victims of his impending arrival.” “And now we all feel it too!” said Misha. “The entire town has been alerted by some common eerie premonition. This is a sign, we have not much time.” said Branger “Where is the survivor?”asked Branger “The survivor of the deathstalker, claimed he escaped the menace on foot, but as he confessed to the priest. That the only way to survive the deathstalker is to engage in unspeakable cowardice, offer it your children and your wife for feasting without giving it so much of a fight. He ingested canorberry and died earlier this morning.” Said Millix, the town elder. “It seems, The only way to survive the deathstalker is to suffer a fate worse than death.” said Barnon the warrior. “Then it’s settled. We must fight!” said Branger © 2019 ImaginaryMightAuthor's Note
