A Poem by Anne Lyons

Your eyes are engraved in my

mind; I see them when I'm alone

and looking out at the

stars. I see you every time.

I studied you overtime and

used what I could of my memory

to capture you in every aspect.

I found you to be lovely.

And much to my

surprise, I never came

across any flaws.

You were exquisite to look at ,and

overtime your image, became my

escape when the world around

me became too much.

And for that reason, I can't seem

to escape you.
