Distance

Distance

A Poem by Anne Lyons

When I think of you
I don't think of the miles
that are tearing us apart.
And I don't think of all the
nights we both spent wishing
we were by each others side.
When I think of you
I think of a secluded kind
of happiness; where everything
feels so distant, but at the
same time so close to reaching.
