Sea, After Dark

Sea, After Dark

A Poem by Anne Lyons

Lying in the sand near the

shoreline, listening to the

tide draw in and back out.

Gazing at the stars above

while lightening in the

distance brightens the sky.

Eyes, body filled with

exhaustion, yet I intend

on residing here till sunrise.

I crave the fresh air of sea.
