Bitten

I wrote this with someone in mind

I was told he's cold

I was told he's smart

He's a man who is wicked

But can capture a heart

 

Keeping my distance

I studied his pace

How can a man be so cruel

And yet do it with grace

 

I took a step closer

One more and then another

Falling into his evil chant

I felt my guard falter

 

Giving me the cold shoulder

After teaching me what's warm

My heart is in panic

It is sounding the alarm

 

His name spells trouble

But my heart thumps with glee

Yes, I just told you the story

About this vampire and Me.
