In All Its Glory.

In All Its Glory.

A Poem by waywithwords
"

I wrote this from the English Lake District a couple of years ago whilst on a long weekend break. A beautiful site and inhalation of senses.

"

The Green static caravan stood high upon a hill.

Overshadowed by the tall ancient trees.

Oak, willow and spruce's galore,

reached high into the sky,

swaying gently in the breeze.

The winding path lead to the lake,

boats of all sizes, birds swooping

on the shimmering blue water and

echo sounds, from around the mountain

in the distance.

The early morning dawn chorus

awoke me each morn, like

an orchestra giving its first symphony.

Nature in all its glory, green

carpeted spread.

Inhalation and sight, of this wonderous site.

Oh, I couldn't say anything bad about this. These well-chosen words of one who loves nature are sweet music to me.

Hi! Me here!---Just wanted to say that I love the way you share nature as your eyes see it; Like a picture postcard for the imagination! I like how the first two stanzas guide us to the water's edge. Nice!

This lovely, as your other poems are. That last stanza really sums up the whole feel of nature and its beauty. A relaxing, peaceful piece of writing. Thank you, thank you for sharing. :-)

so relaxing and soothing...I can almost hear "The early morning dawn chorus" and smell the air. You painted a lovely picture, Anne. You certainly do have a "waywithwords"!

How lovely. I feel right there with you in your beautiful descriptions. The swaying, swooping and shimmering are all very hypnotic. The green landscape sounds lush and serene.

Just one typo I noticed in the last line 'inhalllation' should be inhalation I think.
