A Sense of Freedom

A Sense of Freedom

A Poem by Brandon S. Whitten
"

Come together and live free

"
I crawled out of the dark
On my hands and knees
Stood up and stripped away
My suit and tie
No clock to punch
No time to crunch
I am free
To live my life
And focus on
Why I'm here
It's not to work
For the man
I'm not here
To pay a price
I have been blessed
And understand
This is no way to live
Day to day
Until we die
Every moment
I have free time
To do
What makes me happy
Helping others
Who need a hand
When they're down
On their knees
And are too weak
To go on
I am there
I am strong
With love in my heart
Not looking for
A gold star
Only sharing
A choice made
Instead of stressing
About what makes me
Angry, sad and hopeless

A world in focus and not the material...if we could just live this way and not have to fret - sigh, such a matrix system we live in, well written xo
