Running Wild

Running Wild

A Poem by Brandon S. Whitten
"

A belief to guide us along the straight and narrow, yet abuse has distorted the perception of millions who were exposed to the dark side of what was holy.

"
Love me as I am
Heard in every heart
Abused and confused
They say
I was lost so I chose
To walk in the dark
And found beauty
In the grotesque
Forgive me
For what I've done
May be, yes
But the answer is no
Life will go on
Until you learn
Not to play with a gun
Not to harm a child
Not  to do the evil you do
Pay attention
I see All
Running wild

This we believe to be true
But not all is black and white
There are many points of view
In between darkness and light
We can learn wrong from right
But the delusion of power
Gives one the feeling
Being destructive is might
I hear a sigh, then laughter
It's all right
Wait until after life
