Underneath a Willow Tree

Underneath a Willow Tree

A Poem by Brandon S. Whitten
"

Waya sees evil he did not know existed.

"
Walking east through the forest
Grotesque images started to invade my head
Flashing violently, I had to rest
It was after I encountered that beast

Underneath a willow tree is where I sat
And leaned against her twisted trunk
Visions grew louder until I screamed, Stop!
These are not my thoughts, not me

I began to chant, Om Namah Shivaya
Over and over until my mind was clear
The distorted figures were disturbing
How could anyone find pleasure in such?

I took a deep breath and relaxed for a while
With eyes open I focused on a rock in front of me
Meditating to the sound of birds chirping
I then close my eyes while my mind drifts to the sound

Thank you kindly, Maria. Good day to you.
Good visions and places create by the poem. I like how the meditation took away the fear and create a better place. I like the willow tree also. Good place to relax and think. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
