The MythosA Story by waubbafetThe mythology for a screenplay I'm writing. All forms of feedback welcome.
The first Goddess came into being. She met nothing, the Void, and she quickly grew attached to It. She would play games with It and would will cookies into being for It to enjoy. The Goddess had made stars and planets, wonderful dance lights for the Void to love; but the Void was nothing and thus felt nothing. It had no gratitude for what she had done for It. For the first time in her existence the Goddess felt alone.
She took action. She will use her power to create life and have something to talk too; something to appreciate her. So she made the Dragons, powerful beings of fire. Their names are Umdali and Umthengi. The two were opposite in every possible way. They only had one thing in common, their hatred towards one another. They picked a planet and the Umdali and Umthengi made their own version of life. Two different Pantheons that served two proposed; to bring joy to their mother, the Goddess, and to help settle any argument they would have. However, The Pantheons were unaware the Goddess even existed. Slowly she slipped into a depression. Her daughters were too busy fighting to care. The Goddess wanted nothing more than to be one with the Void, but she could never be. They were opposite forces; existence and nonexistence themselves. The Pantheons never know why they fought. They never know of Umdali and Umthengi. Tired of the constant bloodshed the Pantheons created their own life. The creators of light, like elves and man, and the creators of dark, the demons and monsters. The plan was for the creators to worship their respected pantheon, but you cannot create life without creating free will. The Pantheon of light lives in the heavens, while the Pantheon of dark lives below the earth. © 2017 waubbafet |
