Doors 1 (Old)

A girl who lost here home, a place in between dimensions, travels though the dimension plain to try and find help for her people.

EXT. NEW YORK CITY/ CENTRAL PARK/ NIGHT

LILY chases SETH though central park. LILY'S dressed as a cop, because she is one.

LILY

Stop. This is the NYPD.

 

SETH starts running faster, and trash cans over to try and slow down LILY. It doesn't work too well. SETH runs over a bridge. Then he stops. His head starts to glow.

LILY catches up with him just in time to hear him scream, and see him transform. He turns into this misshaped monster with a grin that reaches up to his hollow eyes. LILY immediately pulls out her gun.

LILY

What the hell is going on here!?

The monster that was once SETH moves behind the thing that changed him. IT looks like a giant white blob with cylinders for hands and feet. LILY continues shoots IT. IT doesn't even flinch. IT touches LILY'S forehead, and it starts to glow. She screams and transforms into a different misshaped monster, but the eyes and mouth stay the same.

All the screaming and gun shots wake up a girl, no older the 13, sleeping on a park bench. Her name is IRIS. Still a little sleepy she sits up and sees the monsters walk past her. IRIS screams as one of the monsters grabs her. She tries but can't shake t off. IT walks up to her and touches her forehead. It doesn't glow this time, and IRIS immediately falls back to sleep.

INT. DARK ROOM WITH A LIGHT

IRIS wakes up. Her vision's very blurry. She rolls out of bed and hits the floor. There's a man sitting on the bed next to her named KENNY. He was trying to move his bed which is attached to the wall. When he hears IRIS fall to the floor he turns around. The room it self only has one light in the middle, but the walls and floors are black so it doesn't help much. The only thing you can see is the beds.

KENNY

Hey, are you alright?

IRIS

Why did you ask me that? It's not like you care.

KENNY

Well if you don't want to talk its fine. Hell if I made you talk to me it'd be kind of creepy, but I do care.

IRIS stands up.

IRIS

Fine. Whatever. Where are we anyway?

KENNY goes back to trying to move the bed.

KENNY

(laughs a little)

I was kind of hoping you'd know.

IRIS

I don't think that's going to move.

KENNY

Well look at you, trying to make conversation hu? You didn't strike me as the type.

IRIS

I'm just pointing out stupidity

KENNY

Ouch. I guess you're are kind of right though. I was just hoping the ends would brake of sharply. Then we'd have something to work with. But that doesn't look like it's happening.

IRIS

Did you see those things?

KENNY

The grinning things?

IRIS nods yes.

KENNY

Yeah, I saw a s**t ton of them. Tried to fight them off with my shotgun but they didn't seem to care much. Then that blob thing showed up. Now I'm here.

IRIS

Oh okay.

KENNY

What, hoping it was a nightmare?

IRIS

Kind of.

INT. DARK ROOM WITH A LIGHT/ SOME TIME LATER

IRIS starts feeling around the room.

KENNY

Would you mind helping me a bit?

IRIS

Yes

KENNY sighs. IRIS find a corner of the room and feels around for the next wall. She's finds it and turns onto the other wall. While she's doing that she bumps into ARIA. IRIS freaks out but only for a second.

ARIA

You can see me!

ARIA hugs her so strongly she falls to the ground. KENNY walks over to her.

KENNY

What are you doing on the floor?

IRIS

This person just attacked me.

ARIA

It's called a hug and it's very nice.

KENNY

What person?

IRIS

What are you talking about?!

KENNY

Hey it's fine, you're allowed to have an imaginary friend. Now why don't you finish playing and come help me out.

IRIS pushes ARIA off of her and stands up. ARIA seems upset.

ARIA

Sorry...

IRIS

Fine, what do you want me to do?

KENNY

Let's just see if we can't move this bed here.

They walk over to it.

KENNY

Alright, why don't we see what's keeping it attached in the first place.

ARIA

I'll get the light.

IRIS only looks over for a second then pretends ARIA isn't there. ARIA runs over to the light in the middle of the room. She can't reach it, even when she jump.

KENNY

Oh sorry darling. I'm feeling a little out of it all of a sudden. Here let me get the light for you.

ARIA

No can get this. Tell him I I can get this!

IRIS

(to kenny)

Thanks

ARIA looks very upset. She climbs on top of the other bed and jumps for the light. She swings on it and it crashes to  the ground. The room is almost completely pitch black.

IRIS

What did you do!?

KENNY

I barely touched the damn thing I swear.

ARIA

Sorry.

IRIS

It's not your fault.

KENNY

Thank you

ARIA

Really?

IRIS

No just. Just shut up!

KENNY

Alright.

IRIS crashes down onto the bed hitting her head against a wall. What looks like a brick falls out. Bring in a little more light. IRIS gets up.

KENNY

That's all I had to do. I feel a little stupid now.

IRIS grabs a brick, and hands it to him.

KENNY

Well look at Ms. I-don't-care.

IRIS

I'd like to know where I am.

KENNY

You know I never got your name. Mines Kenny.

IRIS pauses for a second.

IRIS

Iris.

KENNY helps IRIS with the bricks. The outside looks better then before. The suns just the right amount of brightness, and there are trees everywhere.

KENNY

Well we certainly ain't in New York anymore.

IRIS

Yeah.

A monster thing from before with wings pops out of the hole suddenly. KENNY scream, while IRIS is more startled. ARIA screams too only after figuring out that that wasn't supposed to happen. There's still somewhat dark in the room. Dark enough so ARIA can see the back of their neck start to glow. IRIS hit the monster with a brick, it only seem to piss it off. The glowing gets brighter as the monster enters the room ,and IRIS and KENNY back away from it.

KENNY

Hey we're sorry okay. Well put these back for yea.

KENNY drops the bricks and puts his hands up. IRIS doesn't. The glowing gets bright enough so you can clearly see a pattern though their hair. It looks like a computer circuit. Both of which are completely different.

ARIA

I'm starting to think this isn't supposed to happen.

IRIS

Oh yeah really? You think.

The monster screams and the glowing stops. IRIS and KENNY both fall to the floor. They're both taken away by the monster. ARIA follows them, not really knowing what else to do.

INT. COMPUTER ROOM

IRIS is hooked up to a table by the back of her neck. IRIS'S hair is shaven clean off. You can clearly see what looks like a computer circuit stretching all the way where her hair was, down her neck, to her cloths. Her cloths have also been replaced with a skin tight white suit. She also looks a few years older.

The room she's in is very blue. Everything from the lights to the table, to the giant screen. The screen shows ones and zero so fast you can barely see them. ARIA'S asleep in the corner of the room, by IRIS. IRIS wakes up, and sits up immediately. This unplugs her from the table.

INT. CONTROL ROOM

A much more human looking MONSTER with the same eyes and grin sit in front of a board with a bunch of light. One of the lights blink. It taps the light and nothing happens. It then gets up, and walks out.

INT. COMPUTER ROOM/ CONT.

IRIS

(to Aria)

You?! What are you doing here?

ARIA wakes up.

ARIA

You're the first person that was able too see me. I didn't wait to long if that helps.

IRIS looks around.

IRIS

Wait, were the hell am I?

ARIA

It looks like some big computer room or something.

IRIS

Um, okay.

IRIS tries to get up. She gets off the table, walks one step, then losses her balance.

IRIS

How long was I out?

ARIA

Um

ARIA starts counting on her fingers.

ARIA

Five years, six months, 14 days, 10 hours and 6 minutes. About.

IRIS looks so shocked.

IRIS

Five years! How do I... Five years?!

ARIA

Yes that's what I said.

ARIA walks over to try and comfort her. IRIS pushes her away.

IRIS

(yells)

Just leave me alone. You're not even real.

Stomping can be heard outside the door.

IRIS

(says normal)

I just want to get out of here.

ARIA

I can help.

IRIS

What?

ARIA

You said you wanted to leave. I can help.

IRIS

Right, like you helped last time?

ARIA

Kind of. Because I am real.

IRIS

Fine, it's like I have much of a choice. What you got?

ARIA

Well first you have to make a wish. You can see me so you can come with me but you need to make a wish first.

IRIS

A wish? Why?

ARIA

Because that's how it works. Make a wish.

IRIS

Fine. I wish I was out of here.

ARIA has a bracelet. Ten decorative keys appear on this bracelet. IRIS can only stare. ARIA looks only a little more confused then she does. There's a knock on the door.

ARIA

Don't you want to know where these came from?

IRIS

Can we just go!

ARIA hands her a hat from seemingly no where.

ARIA

Before we go you might want to put this on.

IRIS

What's wrong with my head?

ARIA looks like she's trying to find a nice why to put it.

IRIS

No wait I don't care. Lets just get out of here.

The monster knocks more and begins to roar.

IRIS rips the hat out of ARIA'S and and puts it on. It's a beany hat so if mostly covers her back neck too. ARIA walks to the door, IRIS follows. ARIA puts a key from her bracelet and puts it in a way that would unlock a door if this door had a lock. The key goes right through the lock like a ghost. Then it disappears from the bracelet entirely. The door begins to glow bright white taking over the blue in the room. ARIA opens the door.

IRIS

Oh s**t.

ARIA

Lets go.

IRIS

Yeah okay.

The walk through the door together. The monster from before backs away from the glowing door, and starts roaring violently. Kicking the door.

EXT. NYC/ BUSY/ NORMAL LOOKING/ DAY

IRIS and ARIA walk through a door and into a busy New York City street. No one notices the glowing door they just walked out of. IRIS looks around in amazement.

IRIS

You really did it. You fixed everything.

ARIA

Well fixed isn't the right word exactly. I just brought you to someplace else.

IRIS

What do you mean? This is New York. New York was destroyed and now it's not.

ARIA

Well this is really. Another dimension.

IRIS looks shock.

IRIS

(shocked)

A what?!
