In the Absence Of You

In the Absence Of You

A Poem by Tendai

What is the world but a hollow shell,
A dim-lit echo where your laughter fell?
In your absence, time itself refrains,
Each second stretches, soaked in pains.

Love Bug, without you, I wander lost,
In echoes where our hearts once crossed.
Time bends and breaks without your grace,
A barren world, a hollowed space.

Let us begin again, where love first bloomed,
In unspoken hours, where hearts were attuned.
Can we not rebuild from fractured glass,
And forge new paths where shadows pass?

Shall we not begin anew, my dear,
With whispered vows and hearts sincere?
AB’s daughter, your spirit bright,
Guides me through the deepest night.

So let us weave the tattered strands,
With trembling hearts and tender hands.
For I cannot bear the weight of you gone
You are the dawn that pulls me on.

Without you, my soul feels worn, bereft,
Of every joy and solace left.
Each breath I take, a slow descent,
Into a chasm where all light is spent.

Without you, all my days are gray,
A tapestry of time in disarray.
Yet with your hand, the world turns gold,
A story waiting to be retold.

Let’s carve new paths with fearless hearts,
For from you, I cannot part.
You are the pulse within my chest,
The reason I seek only the best.

Forgive the missteps, the words unsaid,
Let us reclaim the love we once fed.
For without you, my world unravels
Can we not restart where love still travels?

Let’s not rebuild, but forge anew,
A love more vivid, pure, and true.
For in your absence, life’s undone
My Love Bug, you are the sun.
