Silent Struggle

Silent Struggle

A Poem by Tendai

I am in a right state, feeling worn thin
No matter what, I just can’t win.
The world keeps turning, but here I stay
Stuck in place, come what may.

Alone in a crowd, lost in my head
Trying to help, but left for dead.
I give my all, but nothing shows
Praise is scarce, no love that grows.

But I’ll keep on, stiff upper lip
Even as the road starts to slip.
