A River Of Pain

A River Of Pain

A Poem by Tendai

Your wisdom, now just a memory, slowly fades away,
Leaving me lost, without your guidance, each and every day.
No words can truly express the depth of pain I feel,
My appreciation for you, forever unreal.

I mourn, dear Mother, the words left unspoken.
For your love and care, my heart now weeps,
You're the reason I'm sorrowful, in mourning I keep.

The days grow longer, the nights so cold,
Without your warmth, my heart feels old.
The laughter we shared, now echoes in the past,
Leaving me longing, yearning, to make it last.

The memories we made, like whispers in the wind,
Fade into darkness, where sadness begins.
I’m lost in a world where you're no longer there.

The tears I shed, a river of pain,
Washing away the joy, leaving only strain.
I reach out for your touch, but it slips through my grasp,
Leaving me empty, longing for the past.

Oh, dear Mother, how I miss your gentle embrace,
The comfort you provided, cannot be replaced.
I carry your love, deep within my soul,
But the emptiness remains, taking its toll.

In this new journey, I stumble and fall,
Yearning for your guidance, your voice, your call.
But all I hear is silence, a void so profound,
Leaving me lost, in a world without sound.

Yet, through the tears and the pain I endure,
I hold onto the memories, so precious and pure.
For in those moments, we were truly alive,
And in my heart, your spirit will forever thrive.

So dear Mother,
Know that your love will always smother,
The sadness that engulfs me, the grief that I bear,
For you will forever be with me, in every prayer.
