Surprise

I stare at the table blushing. Gabe's sitting there with the lights turned off and candles everywhere. "What is this?" 

"Well I figured since you were cold you'd want hot chocolate and I thought that this would set the mood for what we're going to do after you finish that hot chocolate..." He gives me a grin and I blush.

"What are we going to do after this?" I sit in the chair opposite of him and take the mug in my hand. What if he says he wants to...

My thoughts get cut off as he holds up a romantic chick flick that I've been wanting to watch. "We're going to watch this and snuggle together in a nest of blankets on the couch." He gives me a teasing grin and says, "Why? What did you think I was going to say?"

I blush. "N Nothing...." Then I look around, "Hey where's Olivia and Oliver?"

"I had Alea come and get them while you were in the shower. She adores animals and I guess they somehow knew she was family because they adore her too."

I sit there pondering this and sipping on the hot chocolate. Alea must be the cousin I met earlier. He's letting her take care of our pets so I guess Gabe trusts her. If he trusts her I guess I'll trust her too. I look at Gabe and smile softly. He's so cute. And he's there for me physically and emotionally whenever I need him. I finish the hot chocolate and put the mug in the sink then start blowing out the candles. He gets up blowing out candles with me and when it's pitch black in the room I feel him come up in front of me and I tilt my head up instinctively knowing he's going to kiss me. He lightly brushes his lips against mine then starts to go towards the front room. I grab his hand and stop him, "I... I love you Gabe." I pull his hand up and use it to cradle my cheek. "Please don't hurt me."

He pulls me towards him and holds me tight against his chest, "I promise I won't." He seals the promise by kissing me firmly then he kisses my forehead, "Why don't we go watch that movie?" I nod against his chest and he takes my hand leading me into the living room. The rooms lighted by one candle so we can see where we're going and he lightly pushes me on the couch turning the on the tv and putting the disk in. He blows out the candle and sits next to me pulling me against him. I pull the blankets around us and snuggle into him watching the movie and occasionally looking up at him for a kiss.

After the movie's over we go into our room changing into our pajamas then sliding into bed. I snuggle up to him and slowly drift off ro sleep...
