What I've learned (2017)

You can't always satisfy everyone.

Those you deeply love.

Those who are hurting.

Those who try their best to smile,

But cry themselves to sleep.

What I'm trying to say here is this.

It is difficult to help someone grow when you are just as equally lost as they are.

You'll gain as many people as the ones you’ve lost,

But you'll still miss the memories.

They were good back then.

Now they burn a hole in your heart.

You miss them because they were your best friend.

You trusted them to not leave.

Because they,

themselves knew what it was like to be abandoned.

Then they leave…

And you go back to your old ways

Like the same old days.

You can't always satisfy everyone,

And that is okay.

Everyone is lost in their own way.
