things you love, go. 

Sometimes you have to watch
someone throw away their life to drugs or alcohol. 

Sometimes you have to endure
the hardest, sharpest, break of your heart. 

Sometimes you have to admit
defeat. 

Sometimes you have to make decisions
that crush you, rip you limb from limb.
Decisions that tear your soul apart,
piece by piece.  

Sometimes you have to watch
someone you love slip right through the
spaces in-between your fingers.
Fall right through the cracks on the sidewalk. 

Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom
to realize just how damn good
you had it. 

Sometimes
You just gotta grow up
