Short poem on love that never was

I RAISE my glass to thee
I bow and look to thee
That we might someday be

But that day will never be
Oh yes it is hard to believe
Time and places and another be
Maybe we are all just deceived

Maybe we will awake
To a lover’s embrace
Finding it has always been.

I will arise but fall back to thee
To the warmth of your being
Knowing my Goddess has
Always been.
