A Dark Balance

A Dark Balance

A Poem by K

So eloquent, I almost think your intuitiveness is mocking me.

A decade past and what I barely knew then is more alive in me than ever.

I found you today, my past joy, salted with regret.

Even my expressions had a rhythm then.

Now I find depth in my chaos, but at what cost?

As freedom has its price, virtue its confinement.

Inhaling poison for a moment of clarity, followed by unprecedented inspiration.

Am I only useful in the dark, finding peace in turmoil?

Exhaling the delight of a small distraction.
