Crystal Ball

Crystal Ball

A Poem by Wanderlust

Protective, mystical.
Possessing endless meanings.
I give myself away to the idea of it all.
This orb from distant lands.
I look at it and feel confusion, anger, war, love.
So many hands have grazed over its imperfections and cracks.
A story of survival.
Made of labradorite,
Said to cause prophetic dreams.
Gleaming with blues and greens like a hologram,
Each angle beautiful.
A lesson.
I take all the parts of myself back slowly,
To reveal myself,
like the artist God himself,
is chipping away at me
as a sculptor does to marble.
