Sorrow: The Worst Kind of Pain

Sorrow: The Worst Kind of Pain

A Poem by Wandering Bard
"

Need I say what happens to this girl?...

"

Thud, thud, thud.

The sound of feet pounding ground,

Ground leading to home.

Running away,

Running away from a horrid day.

Cough, cough, cough.

The sound of being drowned,

Drowned in sorrow.

Can’t sleep,

Can’t sleep as I weep.

Nothing, nothing, nothing.

No sound from the girl;

Nothing but the whisper of a last sigh.

I loved it. It had a good flow to it. I like the structure too. It is one of my fav's. It makes you think too which is the best part about it. I love it! Keep it up Bard. :))

I liked this. I thought like Karol that this was about suicide but I could be wrong. The first verse made me stop and think. Very good poem that gets the reader thinking.

Sounds like it could be a scared and suicidal poem to me...then again, that is what the last verse seems to call attention to. Though, I could be wrong. I do like it though.
