An Old Friend

An Old Friend

A Poem by WANA BE

An Old Friend
What are you? When did you appear?
You resemble something that I knew
Clouded by an endless casting fear
That made you seem fictional than true
How can I see you after all that time!
You went suddenly without a warning
You were my soul mate in my early prime
Then, when I got old I saw you dying
Why are you here while people are crying?
They scream my name while I am lying
Is it my last act?
Now I remember you my lovely peaceful smile!
