Tomorrow

Tomorrow

A Poem by weatherbee

Anger and Laughter, Pain and Sorrow
All are friends i'll meet tomorrow.

Hate always finds me last in line,
with little money to pay my fine.

Hunger comes with his partner Temper,
guest at my table in late November.

Envy refuses to leave my bed,
she's chained to the pillow where I lay my head.

Greed and Happiness are spoiled brothers,
they have the same dad but different mothers.

My two best pals, Mercy and Kindness
have no tolerance for my old friend Violence.

We walk together hand in hand
A barber quartet, a marching band.

A band of thieves, who've stole my heart,
none of them could play the part.

So here I stand, all alone
nothing more than flesh and bone.

Anger and Laughter
Pain and Sorrow,

All are friends,
i'll meet tomorrow.

I did enjoy this wonderful rhyming poem. Great analogy here. Good job!

Ah, there are few things I enjoy more than personifying Emotions, which you successfully did here.
Good stanza form, which kept things short, sweet, and easy to follow.

Yet despite it's accessibility the thought behind it is actually quite deep, which I enjoyed.
Wonderful poem.

If I may ask, what was on your mind as you wrote this? I'd like to know if it's anything similar to what I think when I personify Emotions. :)

I hope you continue writing like this in the future. Good writing.

Number Six.
