Cutthroat Kitchen

A Poem by Riley
"

You may be big But you are not less

"
I am fat
But I am not less.
I'm not any less gorgeous
I'm not any less healthy just because of the way I look.
I am not less worthy of love
I carry well,
But I have a big belly and arms.
I am not lazy
I am not repulsive
I've done diets
I've worked out
I've starved myself to sickness.
I deserve the world and more
Because I am fat
And I am spectacular.

Take that power of judgment out of the hands of others and find empowerment and value in yourself. This poem has a beautiful strong message that deserves to be heard by anyone that has ever been made to feel less than. You have nothing to prove to the naysayers for your words speak for themselves. And they are true and beautiful.

No one should starve themself to sickness to achieve some dictated physical ideal. Appreciating yourself is part of staying healthy.
