Sleep now

Sleep now

A Poem by Riley

Rest your head
close your eyes
dream a little dream of we.

A dream of we,
once lovely

your dream of me
once tranquil.

Open your eyes, now
What do you see?

I see your dream of we
bundled up in the corner
scared and shadowed
by doubt and memories.

In your dream of me,
now, what do you see?

I see your dream of me
It’s sorrowful and lone,
guilt ridden and lost,
your we was my home.

Now wake up my love,
what do you see?

I see your dream of we
Tearing apart your dream of me

An insatiable hunger
to tear and bleed.

Open your eyes again darling,
What do you see?

I see the sleep paralysis
that is your dream of we.
