Sight of eyes

Sight of eyes

A Poem by Riley

People will contradict young love.
they can't know for sure
what one heart feels for another.

how one soul beats for each other.
unless they're in the valves
the soul
the very depths of two becoming one.

It's not the passionate nights where your eyes flurry with lust,
or the magical days where you go out

Young love is feeling your heartbeat fasten
when they walk in the room
that exploding touch in your veins
when their smile meets their eyes

Young love is being their blanket
when they're sick
it's listening, and cooperating.
It's going to bed not angry, after a big fight.

Young love is knowing
feeling with the blood that pumps
that it's true.
when you always come back to each other
young love,
at the end of the day,
is when you feel it;
and what you make it
