Like Many Before You

Like Many Before You

A Poem by Stella

You walked away,
Feeling like I would be better,
Better off with you gone,
But little did you know,
You changed the way i saw the world,
And every second you were in my life,
I was making it through the day,
With hope and love in my heart,
As I watched you walk away from me,
Like so many before you,
You left me broken,
And I hate you,
For every minute you've been gone,
But i'll move on.

Intense and powerful.

You write with words that echo in some, and grow in others. Thanks for sharing ;)

I know the feeling, and you just paint it clear and complete. You've captured the essence of it in just a few sentences. I like it !

A very sad poem. People come and go in a life. Leaving good and bad scars. I like the flow and the story. A very good poem.

Oh I feel like I've known these exact emotions a million times before. Relationships seem to be vicious cycles. And we really have no choice, but to cling to a lost love or move on. I like how honest and candid this poem is. I can read the emotion clearly and strongly.

Such a painful write, sadness
and a hint of betrayal that
leaves one broken yet moving
on...Very deep emotionally.
