Zombies'n'S**t Ep. 33A Chapter by wagonburnerDidn't We Already See This Episode?
I glared at her a few moments longer, to make sure me point was made. I don't have time to play nice. The setting sun illuminated her face in brilliant orange and her hair had flitted out and some had fallen in her face. I resisted the urge to push it out of the way and behind her ear. Instead I turned away and called over my shoulder, "Nightfall is coming soon. I suggest to get somewhere and hole up if you want to live through the night. I won't tell anyone where you are. The other folks that wander around here might not be as cuddly as me."
I got a few steps away before I heard quick movement behind me. Before I could turn around there was a loud CLANG! and down I went, dropping like a sack of s**t. ** I woke with a start in a dark room with concrete walls. The sun had set and a glance out a shattered window told me I was not on the ground floor. I looked blearily around and tried to stand. It was then that I realized I was tied up, somehow. Again. Goddammit. I saw a dark shape against one wall shift slightly and Sophia mumbled quietly, "Are you okay?" I growled at her. A small match flared to life and I saw a handful of junk ignite and quickly covered by something that blanketed the light it produced so it remained dim. Sophia relaxed against a wall. "What the hell happened?" I asked, still trying to gather my wits. Sophia pointed at a metal trash lid with a vaguely John shaped dent in it, shrugged and whispered, "Sorry." Holy s**t. I frowned at her, "You concussed me with a freaking trash lid?" She looked away, her hair falling to cover her face entirely. I stared at her for a few seconds. Then I calmly placed my face on the cool concrete. And bashed it into the concrete floor. Repeatedly. © 2016 wagonburner |
