Yes, this commanding voice is indispensable now.
The neglect and indifference has gone too much.
The polite words are deemed as the sign of weakness .
If the conscience of the peoples is arisen the world may turn safe again for living.
Thank you Wendy for the harsh yet useful sermon.

I really don't think I won. Like I said, poems really aren't my thing.

This is great! You're singing my song. We live in a throw-away society. And I totally agree with the watching the sky and listening to nature bit. That's why I feel sorry for folks living in overcrowded, polluted and noisy cities. Where we live the stars are sharp as razors and we hear coyotes, birds and our milk goats. I diverge a little on the bags. Some plastic is organically based and biodegradable. Plus, paper products come from a renewable resource (which would be better utilized if they planted more trees). I love the idea of reusable bags, as well as other containers. What happened to glass milk bottles and peaches 'canned' in Mason jars?

Do I HAVE to turn off the loud music??? Stop watching TV...hmmm
those would be true sacrifices that I don't think I'm ready to give up...quite yet, though I do commune with nature whenever I can. (Being a product of the 60's you know..and do everything else...and then some..
It's the "then somes" I would have liked to see a little more of in this write...for a more profound and powerful impact.
I liked what you started....just fell a bit short, Wendy
Great message and style though..enjoyed!

Ah, a more harmonious and peaceful existence. Do you think people are smart enough to "get it"? Frankly, I'm worried.

Keep reminding us, Wendy!

Best regards,

Rick

As this is perfect, such a piece that flows almost as a collab into my last piece. I think you have a great mind and soul. Thinking of all that could be said before it's to late, precious, I dig this. As I recognize my own thoughts within your words.

Wonderful write. Thank you.

E.L.
