Spring is Springing

Spring is Springing

A Chapter by Wendy Seames Garner
"

Signs of spring

"

The winter

Snows melting

Drip drip dripping

The morning sun

Dewdrop kissing

Sparkles radiating

The birds

Lawn congregating

Twitter singing

The flowers

Petals unfurling

Water coloring

The wind

Flowers caressing

Air perfuming

The bunnies

Rabbit hole peaking

Hop hop hopping

The children

Outside playing

Summer dreaming

The calendar

March 20th announcing

Spring is springing

They have been here for five years. I just posted a couple of stories today.
You said poetry is not your thing, but the images in your poetry are delightful. It feels very natural, not forced: effortless.

Cheer! Yes! Some more happiness on this website! This was simply yet beautifully poetic! You have captured the light, airy, joyful feel of spring in a few short stanzas. The simplicity makes this poem a delight and clearly expresses the subject.

This is a wonderful, light-hearted poem. I thought the structure was interesting, how each verse starts with a subject, then describes an action, followed by a result. Each line is only two or three words, with each verse of three lines. It provides a balance and rhythm that could easily be put to music. I appreciate the very simple statements in each line which result in an easy-to-read poem. Yet, there is a lot of beautiful mental images and emotion present. Well done!

The flow of this poem is sweet and gentle, descriptive and memorable. Tis so good to read words from the heart rather than those oujumped by harsh technicalities. Delightful: ' The flowers ~ Petals unfurling ~ Water coloring '
