I Think I'm Alone Now

I Think I'm Alone Now

A Chapter by Wendy Seames Garner
"

How I spend my alone time.

"

I eagerly await my alone time each day. It is precious to me, I try not to waste it. Already, I can hear the clock ticking, measuring minutes I have left.

I sit on the couch, my feet resting on a foot stool. I'm wearing my pajamas and bath robe, the laptop resting on my legs. The cat sleeps curled up beside me, does this mean I'm not alone?

This is my writing time, when I am transported through time and space. My characters whisper to me, anxious for their stories to be told. Guess I'm never really alone.

That's why I love working graveyard. Despite the fact that I am busy I have plenty of time to do my writing.
