A Silent Emotion

A Silent Emotion

A Poem by V.L.Mir

A red lady with a bounty lips
sat at the far most corner of the couch.
She looks down to her golden ring
That locks forever so tightly.

I can only view her this far
and embrace the thought so warmly.
For the reality that struck my consciousness,
Fare a reminder of a broken love.

The guitar sits right beside me
waiting for a person to strum.
Yet as lonely as its music crumbles
so does a heart of this deserted guy.

I can hear the slam of the door behind me.
Can you hear that banging blare?
For the one that left the room this moment
is the same person I love today.

I like it. You really get that sense of longing the guy is suffering with over this woman of his dreams. Love the way you've just touched upon details to paint a picture without saying much. Especially like the last stanza - the closing of the door, a great representation of how he feels (she walked out of the door, leaving him with no hope of his longing being sated). Good write.
