I Walked Past 9 o'clockA Poem by V.L.MirThe street has
now covered with yellow light The grasses, the houses, and the fences, too The scenery makes it look like another place Though a place is not another as it seems
The pavement
complements the night above Whose darkness is tainted with dark clouds; Clouds that are streaked with flashes of
light Etched every time though uncertain
I walked past
nine o’clock And touched an old willow tree Its skin felt coarse and rough And has barks where I can fit my fingers
through
The park is
seven lamp posts away All of which are three trees apart I stroll past two lover’s touch While they show their love as I passed by
I reached over
there and look above Where stars are still vibrant in few clear
patches There I realized as I contemplate I see How thankful I am that I walked tonight.
