This I BelieveA Poem by <3Triniti J.~*~This is a pem I wrote last yer=ar in ceative writing. I might tweak it as I write. this poem is definitely not the same poem I had originally written. The concept is the same, the poem has just been expanded very far. I might post the original.Taking care of a newborn baby is a learning experience
Watching her sleep peacefully
Knowing that at any minute she could wake up screaming bloody terror
Watching her exciteent grw at the sight of something
Holding her close as she sleeps
Watching a relative be put to ground causes a look at oneself
Opening up the gates on your deepest darkest thoughts and unleashing a tidal wave
Of thoughts never thought untl theyir casket dissapeared under the ground
Allowig them the ability to return to ground from where we came
Causing you to feel grief and remorse so deep you have to hide pils and sharp objects from yourself
Just to avoid being another statistic for another day
Developing the ability to ove on and living after death
Is a major feat and the hardest step t recovery
Overcoming the grief, anguish, and will to die, makes you stronger
Holding a newborn baby in your arms after a loss
Brings a second chance and redemption to myself
Opposites: Life and Death
Intertwined indefinitely like yin and yang
Depression settles in
But soon fades and you become renewed
The pain and ache dissipate and scatter
Leaving only ghost traces of the former emotions
Joy and self doubt a newborn baby brings
But coming with it is peace
The ache and pain I feel when a relative passes shows me I am still alive
So this I believe
I believe we can learn from life
I believe we can take from and rise above death
I believe life is insightful, and death is inspiration like nothing else
And I believe that after the scars fade, we will gain peace from both
This I Believe
