Reflections of a BoyA Poem by vydenmyriaWritten 12/27/21So content, yet so absurd, But still I struggle to hear a word. Try to find a voice but still I feel the thirst, Of anything that ought to hurt. The common sense of simple words, Delivered up the perfect verse. But the truth of the matter is, My timing was just another curse. I hear it again and again, In a world where the memories, Of a world deep inside me, Are just reflections of a boy, Lost and on his knees. Like a prisoner of grief, All alone in the streets, So alone I can barely breathe, Searching for the slightest relief. This false pretense I put on show, Keeps me struggling to find my soul, And leaves me wondering, If I even have a future to unfold. © 2021 vydenmyriaAuthor's Note
