walk away

walk away

A Poem by vydenmyria
"

only the 2nd poem i've written all year... yet it came out in less than two minutes.... i just wrote the first line not knowing what i wanted to say, but like always what i want to say seems to find its way out, anyways plus, the image is of my new

"

filtered out the damned
by those eyes that seem to tell me
"where are you, be here with me"
and yet i can't
i'm a walking time-bomb
just waiting to release my
nothingness to everyone

walk away, baby
walk away

your warm hands burn me
your tender heart scorns me

i am a fallen angel
born with beautiful white wings
and have since ripped them away
one feather each day

they will grow back, you say
but they havn't, i won't allow it
i'm already so far lost
that i can not
and will not
watch you lose your wings
to save me

let me be, baby
just let me be

i love this. i feel like i can relate to this so well.
"they will grow back, you say
but they havn't, i won't allow it" < this is the way i've been about my writing. it finally puts my past few months into words. the third stanza, in particular, it feels so real. good job. thanks for sharing. God bless.

incredible metaphor for slow torment, ripping angel feathers away - one feather at a time. We all go through dry spells - whethere this is your second or 52nd of the year, it is still stellar.
