A Poem by Vanessa
"

This poem was written for a dear friend of mine named Theresa. Her "whatever, man" attitude taught me how to lighten up a little bit and not sweat the small stuff.

"

There's a plan

that I must follow,

but I rearrange it about every other day.

I should follow

the girl with the flowers

in her hair, locker, and porch.

Allow myself

to sit like a Buddha in a canoe,

as to be guided by the course

of water.

Again, your imagery is amazing. Your poetry is so well written that it guides the reader in such a direction that they get lost in your words. I love it, great work!

T as in true. T as in transforming. T as in Theresas' wisdom. Well written.

Your friend basically gave you good advice without even saying much. And it inspired you to write this wonderful insightful poem. :) We all must learn to not sweat the small stuff. :) great piece
