I

I

A Poem by Victoria Venable

I just keep running deeper inside of myself.

If I lock it all away I wont have to feel it.

I ignore him and he doesn't really notice. He doesn't see me hiding inside of me.

I can't show it. If I just stay to myself locked inside these four walls no one will ask.

I won't have to pretend its genuine. They don't know where I am, locked away.

I'll Just stay there until its over.

He can't see.. He has to trust my mask.. I feel buried alive.
